The App is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

Account Information

  • Email address used to create and manage your account.

User Content

  • Recipes, photos, ingredients, instructions, and other content you create or upload.
  • Stored to provide App features like recipe management, meal planning, shopping lists, and sharing.

AI-Generated Content

  • Some recipes, images, and dietary tags shown in the App are generated automatically using AI services.
  • Other content may be curated, user-generated, or manually added.

Identifiers

  • User ID and limited device-related identifiers used to associate data with your account and validate subscriptions.

Purchase & Subscription Data

  • Subscription status and entitlement metadata managed via RevenueCat.
  • Payment information is processed by Apple and Google and is never stored by us.

Analytics and Crash Reporting

  • We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data, including app launches, taps, recipe views, and scrolling behavior.
  • We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and app performance logs.
  • We use Firebase Performance Monitoring to collect app performance metrics like launch time, screen load speed, network latency, and resource usage to optimize stability and speed.
  • These services automatically collect device and usage information (such as app opens, events, and performance metrics) to help improve the App.
  • No personal information beyond what you provide (e.g., email if you sign in) is sent to these services without your consent.

Advertising & Marketing Data

  • We may use advertising identifiers (such as IDFA) via Google Ads to measure app install campaign performance.
  • This data is used solely for marketing attribution and is not shared with third-party advertisers for targeting purposes.

User Consent

By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of analytics, crash, and performance data as described in this policy. You may opt‑out of analytics collection through your device settings or by contacting support at support@appkippo.com.

4. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide and maintain App functionality.
  • Store and manage your recipes and content.
  • Verify and manage subscription access.
  • Respond to support requests.
  • Maintain security, reliability, and performance of the App.
  • Analyze app usage, crashes, and performance to improve user experience using Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, and Performance Monitoring.
  • Measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns via Google Ads advertising identifiers (IDFA) for attribution purposes.

We do not use your personal information for behavioral tracking, third-party ad targeting, or share personally identifiable data with advertisers.

5. Legal Basis for Processing (EEA Users)

  • Performance of a contract: to provide App features after account creation.
  • Consent: where you voluntarily provide it for specific features.
  • Legal obligation: where required by law.
  • Legitimate interests: to operate, improve, and secure the App, provided these interests do not override your rights.

9. AI-Generated Content

Some content in the App, including certain recipes, images, and dietary tags, is generated using AI services (including OpenAI and Replicate). AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for individual dietary, medical, or allergy-related needs.

Users are responsible for reviewing ingredients, allergens, portion sizes, and suitability for personal, medical, religious, or dietary requirements. Kippo does not provide medical or nutritional advice and is not liable for harm arising from reliance on AI-generated content.

  • Access your personal data.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request deletion of your data.
  • Restrict or object to certain processing.
  • Receive a portable copy of your data.
