Kippo values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights when using our app.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

Email address - collected when you create an account to enable login and manage your recipes and shopping lists.

User Content

Photos - uploaded to create or share recipes within the app. These are stored in our database to display your content.

Identifiers

User ID - used to associate recipes, shopping lists, AI-generated content, and subscriptions with your account.
Device ID - used to validate subscriptions and ensure app functionality across devices.

Purchases

Subscription information - we use RevenueCat to manage premium subscription access. Payment information is handled entirely by Apple and is not stored by us.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide app functionality, including storing and displaying your recipes, AI-generated content, and shopping lists.
To manage subscriptions and unlock premium content.
To respond to support requests sent via your email client.

Note: We do not currently use your information for advertising, marketing, or tracking purposes.

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not share your personal data with advertisers, third-party trackers, or data brokers.
Data may be shared with RevenueCat only to manage subscription status.

4. Your Rights

You can delete your account or any uploaded content at any time.
You can opt out of any future marketing emails when that feature becomes available.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data from unauthorized access or disclosure. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Most recipes and images in Kippo are AI-generated. The AI-Generated recipes are generated with OpenAI and AI-Generated images are generated using Replicate. Tags such as “vegetarian,” “vegan,” “gluten-free,” or similar are automatically assigned and may be inaccurate. While we strive to provide safe and accurate content, we make no guarantees regarding the safety, nutritional content, suitability, or classification of recipes or images. Users are responsible for checking ingredients for allergens, dietary restrictions, and religious or personal considerations. We are not liable for any injury, allergic reaction, or other consequences resulting from the use of AI-generated recipes, images, or tags.

Calorie information displayed in the app is for general reference only. We do not provide medical or dietary advice. Users are responsible for their own dietary and health decisions.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy in the future. The updated version will be posted at this same URL.
